The Cook Binaural record, a very rare and early precursor to today's stereo sound. It was released in the first half of the 1950s by Emory Cook—a visionary and engineer who attempted to bring multi-channel sound into homes long before the music industry established a common standard. The "Two-Arm" System Unlike modern stereo records, where both channels are recorded in a single groove, Cook's system utilized two separate grooves on the same side of the disc:
